This guide explains how to find your Down Side Hosting Minecraft Java server address and connect to your server using Minecraft's Multiplayer menu. Down Side Hosting Minecraft servers use:
dsh.network
Each Minecraft server is assigned its own port.
Your complete server address will therefore look like:
dsh.network:PORT
For example:
dsh.network:25570
The example port above is only an example. Use the port assigned to your own server.
You can find your server's assigned port in your Down Side Hosting server panel.
Open the Minecraft Launcher and start Minecraft Java Edition using the version required by your server.
From the Minecraft main menu, select:
Multiplayer
Click:
Add Server
For the server name, you can enter anything you want.
For example:
Down Side Hosting Server
For the server address, enter:
dsh.network:YOUR_PORT
For example:
dsh.network:25570
Replace the example port with the port assigned to your server.
Click:
Done
Select the server from your Multiplayer list and click:
Join Server
Use:
dsh.network:PORT
Replace PORT with the port assigned to your Minecraft server.
For example:
dsh.network:25570
Each hosted server can have a different port, so make sure you use the port shown for your specific server.
Multiple game servers can use the same Down Side Hosting domain.
The port number tells the network which specific Minecraft server you are trying to connect to.
For example:
dsh.network:25570
and:
dsh.network:25571
can point players to two different Minecraft servers even though both use the same domain.
For your Down Side Hosting server, use the complete address shown for your server:
dsh.network:PORT
If a server is specifically assigned the default Minecraft Java port, 25565, Minecraft may allow the address without the port. For consistency, follow the address provided for your server.
